We are a three piece acoustic blues/folk/jug/washboard band

Geoff Beaumont:
5 & 7 string fretless banjos, mandolin, guitar, jugs, penny whistle, lead and harmony vocals.
Andy Bob Beaumont:
Guitar, kazoo, lead and harmony vocals.
Honky Tonk Bob Beaumont:
Washboard.

Geoff and I have been playing music together ever since we were kids – it’s a family thing. Geoff was a founder member of the Ginger Jug Band which was locally famous in the Kent region in the late 1960s and I played with the Rub-a-dub Jug Band in Anglesey in the 1970s. In 2000 we decided to gig formally as brothers and played at Broadstairs Folk Week for many years as well as other small festivals and folk clubs. In spite of Geoff living far away from me, we have made a concerted effort to keep doing gigs where we can. Recently Geoff’s son, Honky Tonk Bob, has joined us playing washboard.

Our most recent gigs have been at The Llangollen Fringe Acoustica, Folk on the Farm, Anglesey, and One Tribe Festival during July. We also had a Narrowboat Session at Chirk, with many thanks to Mark Holdsworth: here is a link to Geoff’s instrumental “Travelling the South”:

Our new six song EP – “Live at the Crosville Club” – is out now and is available for downloading at:

Beaumont Brothers - Live at the Crosville Club
The Beaumont Brothers new EP – “Live at the Crosville Club”

Review:
“The Beaumont Brothers on great form captured “live”. Excellent recording demonstrates their fine musicinaship on some old favourites. Who would believe that just two blokes could sound like a full jug band? With Donovanesque vocals it’s a most entertaining package”.
